So Long Summer

As the leaves start to fall from the trees, signalling the close of Summer, I thought it would be nice to have a look back at what Summer brought me this year.

I'm grateful to have had many happy days which made for a relaxing Summer. Highlights include taking Sebby in the trailer on the back of the bike, a girly weekend away in Abersoch which was so good for the soul, finishing my Coast to Coast (from my life list!), paddleboarding on Lake Bala (another from my life list and one I will continue doing), outdoor concerts - Paolo Nutini - just wow & lots of beach days - I can sit and watch the ocean forever!

It was so lovely to have my boy home for the Summer and also to celebrate his beautiful girlfriend's Graduation! I kept running with the pooch and practicing Pilates. Visiting a deer park was a highlight - my favourite animal - so majestic. I finished painting my front door and we eventually got around to having a new driveway laid. Raising a glass to good times with friends!

As Summers go it's been a fabulous one!
How was your Summer?
Here's to Autumn - may she be bountiful!

Chasing The Sun

I took a much needed mini break at a relatives in Portugal recently
with my Son and his girlfriend.
Time to replenish, get some sun and boost my Vitamin D levels (which are low),
get a bit of a tan, feel the sand between my toes, hear the sound of the Atlantic, swim, read, eat healthily, peruse the markets, leave the world behind, have fun & laugh!
I think I did it!
Left these two behind to enjoy another week!

My love of bright colours was evident when I looked down at the airport!!

Slowly catching up with my favourite blogs!
Sun, sea and sand, good for my soul.
What's good for your soul?

Say Hello, Wave Goodbye!

Today the earth has completed yet another epic journey around the sun. It's time to look forward, fresh starts, new beginnings, new hopes & dreams.
I can hardly believe 2013 has passed! Time definitely does fly.
As year's go 2013 was a good one! Some challenges but we need those don't we?
Children sent to keep us on our toes and life interesting!!

New Year's Eve we also had a full moon which hasn't happened for 19 years.
A really good time to think about what your hopes are for the coming year.

Set goals, think about starting new projects, spend time thinking what you hope to achieve in
2014 and focus on new beginnings. Don't be scared - just do it!

I say this but also know it is the hardest time to stick to New Year resolutions  - we are supposed to be keeping warm in our caves, eating comfort food with a nice fat store until the Spring -
so now is best to *plan, think, not do!*

Create magic this year!!
