The Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house......

Oh, I love this and used to read it every Christmas Eve with two brimming with excitement children. I look forward to reading it to Sebastian, cosy and snuggly....

For now I am sat, with my usual cup of chai, sinking in the silence, gathering thoughts and thinking about how I want to spend these precious few days off work,
 I'm sure it will include the following...

Watching Love Actually, Elf, Polar Express, The Holiday & Scrooge

Reading In My Shoes - Tamara Mellon (had this for ages) & The Gift - Cecelia Ahern (I love a Christmas novel!)

Listening to this from Kings College. Oh Holy Night. My absolute favourite carol. Beautiful. 

My home is ready for fun and memories to be made! This year feels extra special, the new addition to our family so taken with the lights, taking in the sights and sounds of this World so new to him. Holding him close and not wanting to share with whoever is waiting!

Happy Monday

I have been looking at typography's for a while, they are extremely popular, 

in all the shops & until now I have never succumbed - until I saw this one and it resonated with me, I thought of my Daughter and all the changes happening in her life at the moment.

I have hung it in the bathroom - a little bit of daily inspiration!

Whilst I was taking a photograph I got a little snap happy as I am prone to do!

So, here is my bathroom - it was a labour of love, needed new joists, just to give you an idea.

It took six strapping men with ropes to get the bath up the stairs!

This was a few years ago, I still love it but it needs a fresh coat of paint.....

Mr.L fitted lovely blue twinkling lights into the ceiling and joist - so relaxing!

Awesome Autumn

I LOVE Autumn - my favourite time of year - & now definitely fully fledged!

I have had my camera with me constantly over the last couple of weeks, 

wanting to capture the things that say Autumn 

has REALLY arrived for me.

Sad that photographs cannot capture the stillness & chill in the air, 

warm breath in the cold air, leaves crunching underfoot 

& the smell of warming alcohol beverages - YUM!
