Cosy Favourites

I adore the White Company.
Simple style aesthetics & lasting quality that I have grown to love.

Below are my favourite Autumnal picks & with 20% off ending midnight tonight,
what better reason to indulge?

These double walled glass mugs are just perfect for hot toddies and mulled wine!

I would adore this sheepskin strewn across my bed -
in my book you can never have too much sheepskin!

On Autumn evenings, the minute I get in from work I light a candle & get
cosy by the fire with my pup! :-) This blend contains my favourite scents.

Still on the lookout for a fold over clutch, this is lovely but I am
hoping to find a 'sloppier' version - any ideas??

Thank you for visiting!
Happy weekend :-)

Readjustment

I'm trying!

Readjustment - adjust, alter, adapt, re-acclimate, reconcile, regulate.

All  those things and more...I prefer "Roll with it".

It takes time - the tidiness I can get used to - but the quiet.....
It's four weeks now since 'A' left for her new home & life, I see her lots,
despite this I miss her lots too. & my boy.

Life is rolling on, Mr.L & I are embracing the changes and looking forward to all that life has to offer. We are trying new things, adopting new routine's, enjoying each other's company and talking about our dream's. We want to travel, see more of the World.

We are ready for our next chapter. I hope it involves a cosy cottage too - & soon.

It's not that I don't love this old house of mine, I do, I've preserved it, worked with its quirks, hopefully it will stand for another 350 years, but it's ready for a new family to grow and fill it with noise (not that we don't when we're all together).

But it's a family house, too big for just 2 and a puppy! :-) My Son says "Why don't you just let me have it??" If only!

Family - it's definitely where the heart is.

Pretty Pink Glasses

A few weeks ago I had a meal at my friend's house.

She had the prettiest shade of pink glasses, with a pretty pressed flower design.

Long story short, I found four sat on my desk a week later -
aren't they pretty?

Find them at Ikea, along with other pink offerings!

What do you think? Pretty no?XX

52 Weeks of Happy (14/52)

Here's my four curated happy moments from the last week!
Definitely the simple things!

  • Signs that my Son is home - the Rubik cubes - now gone back to Uni though, miss the click clacking of those cubes!
  • I've left this Christmas decoration hung on the wall, jingling heart!
  • This view over my town whilst walking Olly on his usual evening walk :-)
  • Last meal with the boy before he left for Uni - made by him too. I'm so happy he is developing a love of cooking (there was crusty bread & obligatory frites too) X

Welcoming Autumn...

...with a Melt Candle in (one of) my favourite scent :-)
- Saddle, rich woods and spices.

All Melt candles have little beads on a silver wire wrapped around them
with a few words to encapsulate the scent.

"As the wind swept over the saddle,
it caught it's richness and warmth,
turned it into a 1000 different fragrances
and scented the world".

Wishing you all an Awesome Autumn.....

Let There Be Light...

....at the end of the tunnel as I prepare for my cycling holiday - finish work tomorrow for a week - YAY!

The sun is supposed to be shining every day - hoping to come back with a bit of a Yorkshire tan, albeit a cyclists tan - straight lines across arms and legs!!

I've been wanting to show this beautiful rustic clamp light I bought from Plumo. I love the metal finish and the rustic ironwork of the clamp - & of course the heart :-)

It's in a cosy corner of the lounge clamped to the window sill in my preferred spot to sit and read - IT'S MINE!!

Plumo currently have a sale - click the link to take a look!

Owls & Stags!

Finally found a new place for the owl picture I bought in Bridgnorth :-)

Whilst at it I also hung the Stag's head my Son bought me for Christmas -
I know, I know - not good!

But I kept thinking it needed to go on a dark wall - it probably does, but I had no place on a dark wall that I would see it often to admire it. What do you think?
I think I have mentioned before my love of deer & stags - so majestic.

Talking of owl's, when my Son came home from Uni he bought me this lovely little owl box.
Not wanting to make a fuss but  - *I love it* - I don't often get spontaneous presents - my children are both penniless Students don't you know ;-) so, it will be treasured!!

 Cute!

Back tomorrow to share a project!
