Favourite Watering Hole

Had a wonderful cycling holiday in Wales. Wanted to share photo's of my favourite pub!!!
Everywhere I looked there was something to look at, love finding cosy pubs,
introducing The Last Inn, Barmouth....

So pretty.
Who else enjoys a cosy pub to chill?

Around Here Lately......

A lovely new header photo of the beach from the house we stayed at in Wales.

Doing Pilates regularly - more to share soon :-)

Getting green fingered and putting together a new hanging basket after the last one didn't
survive my trip to Portugal.....

Whilst I was at it - a new vintage ribbon for my wicker heart :-)

Cooking this courtesy of Claire at Just a little less, for friends that I last
worked with 17 years ago - WOW! So tasty and simple. Sorry no picture - it just went!

Making capacious jugs of Pimm's - nearly gone too!

How are you enjoying this beautiful Summer?

By The Roadside......

Driving along in Portugal and look what I saw!
Oh, hello!

How huge is that nest?
Storks are known to return year after year to the same nest and just add more materials to it!

Storks symbolise family values, commitment & fidelity.
The myth that storks bring a new baby is believed to have started in Germany.

I saw this stork after hearing the beautiful news from my
Daughter that she is having a baby boy in December.
Fortuitous? I like to think so!

Tour de France

The tour has just ended to the usual rapturous acclaim in Paris.

I have been to the Alps on a number of occasions to watch and cheer, sink in the whole atmosphere. The frisson of excitement as the riders approach,
often signalled by the helicopters flying overhead is palpable.

This year as the tour was so near home we decided to save some money and go to Yorkshire.

We wanted to be at the top of Buttertubs Pass, Hawes,
the highest point they were to reach in England and the longest climb of the day.

We cycled up!!!! People were shouting "Go on girl!" It was great.
Below are some of the pictures captured on the day.

Great fun! If the tour ever comes near you it's a must see!
Off to buy the poster below from The Printed Peanut....

Yorkshire did Le Tour proud!
Did anyone see?
