Repro Rockers

One of my best buys lately has been these Charles Eames Repro Rockers.
One for my daughter for her birthday (in black)and one for my Sons girlfriend for Christmas. Available in a host of colours, I got this zingy orange for 'S'.

Despite their looks they are so comfortable and their compact size is great for bedrooms or smaller homes. Warmth can be added with a sumptuous sheepskin like this one from John Lewis.....which sits on my daughters rocker.

We surprised 'S' on Boxing Day with hers!!

I now want one myself - the only thing is, which colour to choose?
Happy Weekend!

Naughty Sales Treat One

Sale time!! I don't really buy many clothes.
Whenever I do buy it will be a purchase I have thought hard about.
How I will wear it, when I will wear it.

Usually it is something I have seen at full price and loved,
as is the case with the Mint Velvet gilet's below. I will then keep checking back to see if they have been reduced - patience is a virtue! 25% off - yesss!

I wasn't sure about size, style or colour so with free returns I ordered three to try at my leisure :-) With faux sheepskin and leather trim, they are exceptional quality. I wear gilet's lots as I don't like to feel restricted on my arms whilst wanting a nice warm core!

This is the grey colourway, so cosy, the neck pulls right up and buckles - *love!*
Nice deep pockets, double breasted & little design details that make the difference.
Cream colour, not as keen, tiny pockets.
& this! Didn't look much in the box, but lovely on,
the leather buckle detail is gorgeous, but with my sensible head
I decided to return as I have a fur gilet - just not as nice, gggrrr!
So, as you can guess I chose the grey - I'm a grey kinda gal! Ha!

Who else has treated themselves in the sales?

Let There Be Light...

....at the end of the tunnel as I prepare for my cycling holiday - finish work tomorrow for a week - YAY!

The sun is supposed to be shining every day - hoping to come back with a bit of a Yorkshire tan, albeit a cyclists tan - straight lines across arms and legs!!

I've been wanting to show this beautiful rustic clamp light I bought from Plumo. I love the metal finish and the rustic ironwork of the clamp - & of course the heart :-)

It's in a cosy corner of the lounge clamped to the window sill in my preferred spot to sit and read - IT'S MINE!!

Plumo currently have a sale - click the link to take a look!

Shades of Blue...

Sat in bed early this morning with my lie in (it is my day off) cup of tea, I was suddenly struck by how many blue accessories were dotted about.

Just recently I have started being attracted to blue clothing - not a colour I often wear, being a grey gal!

Designers & stylist's do say you are attracted naturally to the colours that suit you, so maybe there's something in my blue bits!

Random photo's of blue in my home - I went on a mission :-)

 In the bathroom...

In the lounge...

Next up kitchen...

Sitting Room...

Had to show this - 'A's art, hung in her new grey bedroom.
I am going to feature some more of her art over the coming weeks ;-)

Just back from an Art & Design Show - will show tomorrow!
