It's Coming...

Nothing says Christmas is approaching in this house than the beguiling scent of
Neom's Christmas Wish candle.
Always beautifully packaged, even though I know what's inside I love opening the packaging, getting that first whiff of scent as I do so.

Neom candles are the best I have found.
You can smell them as soon as you walk into the room, even when unlit.
The glass jars are excellent quality, although I took the label off the front this year.

The first thing I do at this time of year, when I have finished work and  walked the pup, is light my candles, breathing an almost audible sigh as I start to chill :-)

Who else buys a special candle for the festive season?
Do you have an after work ritual that involves lighting a candle?
It's an instant pick me up isn't it?

A Gift Just Because

I bought myself some pretty candle holder's from The White Company in their sale.

An eclectic mix I then decided I would like to group them together on a tray - cue lots of internet searching to find something simple yet attractive & sensibly priced.

Nada - nothing - zilch!

Mentioning my hunt to my gorgeous friend 'C' (you know the one - bestest ever ever!!) she announced that she had one on her stall - Lily Goat at Bygone Times.

So, yesterday when I returned home there was a package waiting for me :-)

& it was exactly what I was looking for - *perfect*

It's made my December!! Thank you sooooo much 'C'

I just love lighting these & feeling festive, enjoying the flickering & twinkling, the glow and reflection - a candle gives hope & warms hearts.

Neom Candles

I mentioned here that I had won an absolutely gorgeous Neom Candle.

I am a lover of Melt Candles normally, but having had this candle for a couple of weeks

 I'm beginning to understand the virtues of Neom candles which the 

lovely ladies in the shop where I won it shared with me  ;-)

• Burn until the wax touches the sides then blow out - because the candle is made with pure organic essential oils the scent will remain long after you blow the candle out.

• Each large candle burns cleanly for up to 55 hours due to it being made from pure essential oils and vegetable wax.

• When you breath in the scent it is like an aromatherapy treatment - Neom are used in lots of beauty establishments.

• Dip your fingers into the vegetable wax as it melts and massage into your hands - they will be beautifully soft and smell gorgeous!

• Run a bath, blow out the candle and pour the wax that's melted into the bath - aromatherapy bath - sumptuous!

The candle I won is the Christmas Wish: Home Candle.

52 Weeks of Happy (5/52)

Joining in with Jen from Little Birdie and her '52 Weeks of Happy' 

(although Jen has finished hers!)

 Four happy moments that have spontaneously made me smile this week!

• A trip to Ikea with my lovely Mum to look at kitchens. As we walked in we were met by this wonderful Christmas Display - what a creative idea - would love all those sheepskins to scatter around!

• This bundle of fun, 'Pan' (aka Stylish Pooch)  belongs to 'C' (aka the best friend a girl could wish for!) & has come to stay a couple of days. He is a Bichon Frise - the breed is described as being 'merry' & 'cheerful' - he definitely is!! :-) 

• Wow - this Neom candle I won!! In a FREE raffle at a Christmas Shopping Event here - I was soooo excited & the smell is *devine*.

• Finding this sneaky bottle amongst Pan's poochy things, as a thank you from 'C' for having him - anytime I say if this is my reward! ;-)
